Strategic Initiatives of Saskatoon Métis Local 126
Saskatoon Métis Local 126 is ambitious and has a lot of ideas for large-scale projects to better support our community. We recently completed a strategic plan to help provide guidance to grow the Local and support our community. Some of our current initiatives are:
Secure office space and facilities
Create a student dorm to support Métis post-secondary students while they are in Saskatoon for school
Create a Métis preschool to support students and the larger Saskatoon community by providing a culturally based early education
We also have ideas for projects to help address homelessness, to support high school students, to provide supports for people getting medical care, and projects with the correctional system.
